Mufleh also called for starting a community dialogue on the draft law through holding meetings, launching an e-platform to receive suggestions, and holding sessions with civil society organizations, according to a ministry statement issued on Sunday.

He said that the formation of the committee is in line with Articles 16 and 128 of the Constitution, which guarantee Jordanians’ right to establish and join associations.

The formation of the committee, according to the minister, also complies with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, among other agreements relevant to the right to form and join associations.
