Under the agreement signed by Minister of Health Firas Hawari, EHS CEO Omar Ayesh, and the ICRC’s Sarah Avrilo, EHS’ “Hakeem” program, the first national initiative of its kind to automate Jordan’s public healthcare sector, will network the SCRC’s health center “gradually”.

In remarks following the agreement, Ayesh said the SCRC’s automation comes within the EHS’s plans to computerize health sector facilities to increase medical management’s efficiency and effectiveness and raise health care standards provided to citizens to keep pace with international practices.

The agreement to automate SCRC’s health center also aims to ensure that inmates receive an electronic health record to follow up their medical status and history, Ayesh noted, adding that this step will be implemented in all reform and rehabilitation centers in the Kingdom.
