1,449 refugees returned to Syria in 5 months

AMMAN — On the occasion of World Refugee Day, observed on June 20, UNHCR’s Jordan Representative Dominik Bartsch stressed the importance of strengthening support for the organization more than 10 years into the Syrian refugee crisis according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

Bartsch revealed that about 5,994 refugees returned to Syria in 2021, while another batch of 1,449 followed suit in the first five months of 2022.

Figures by the UN refugee agency showed that 88 percent of the 761,500 refugees registered with UNHCR in Jordan are Syrian.
