Jordan Ahli Bank Renews Support for SOS Children’s Villages Jordan with a One-Year Sponsorship Program
Jordan Ahli Bank has renewed its cooperation agreement with SOS Children’s Villages Jordan by sponsoring a family house for one year at SOS Children’s Village Amman. This continued partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to creating lasting social impact through strategic collaborations that deliver direct, sustainable support to target groups, particularly children without parental care.
Under the agreement, Jordan Ahli Bank will contribute JOD 15,000 to help cover part of the daily living expenses of the children residing in the family house, including education, food, clothing, healthcare and extracurricular activities. The house accommodates an SOS mother, an aunt and between five and seven children, in line with the family-like alternative care model adopted by the association.
Commenting on the agreement renewal, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Ahli Bank, Dr. Ahmad Al-Hussein, stated, “When it comes to children without parental care, we are referring to their fundamental right to stability, safety and a future built on equal opportunity within a nurturing environment. Renewing our partnership with SOS Children’s Villages Jordan reflects Jordan Ahli Bank’s approach to supporting initiatives that deliver real value to society and create tangible, long-term impact.”
In turn, the National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Jordan and Chair of the General Assembly of SOS Children's Villages International, Rana Al Zoubi, added, “The renewal of this partnership reflects our shared belief that every dinar contributed is an investment in the future of children and youth, and a step toward building a cohesive and resilient society. By providing stable family-like care for children without parental care, and through long-term partnerships, we are able to transform social responsibility into measurable and sustainable impact.”
Jordan Ahli Bank reaffirms its commitment to CSR through an institutional environmental and social strategy built on several key pillars, including community and women’s empowerment, education and financial inclusion, health, environment and climate change, in addition to other focus areas. These efforts promote national development priorities and contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The bank continues to expand the scope of its initiatives to maximize its reach and number of beneficiaries.
Since 1983, SOS Children’s Villages Jordan has been supporting children and youth without parental care or at risk of losing it through family and youth houses in its villages in Amman, Irbid and Aqaba. The association’s model is unique and comprehensive, encompassing basic care, housing, education and skills, protection and community integration, food security, physical health, livelihood and social and emotional well-being. SOS Children’s Villages Jordan continues to support young people until the age of 24, accompanying them on their journey toward independent living.
In June 2025, Al Zoubi was elected Chair of the General Assembly of SOS Children's Villages International, which comprises 138 member associations worldwide, after receiving the highest number of votes. Her election marked a historic milestone as the first woman to hold this position, highlighting the strong reputation and expertise of SOS Children’s Villages Jordan and reinforcing the Kingdom’s role as a key regional contributor to child protection, international partnership and policy development.
