Applied Sciences Students Ambassadors of Jordan to the World Faculty of Law Team Qualifies for the 2026 Oxford Global Moot Court Finals
The Faculty of Law team at the Applied Science Private University has qualified for the global finals of the English-language Price Media Law Moot Court Competition 2026, organized by the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom in academic partnership with Columbia University in the United States—reflecting the high international standard of the competition.
This qualification came after the team’s participation in the regional rounds hosted by Ain Shams University in Cairo, with teams from across the Middle East and North Africa. According to the official results issued by the University of Oxford, the Applied Science Private University team advanced to the top four (semi-finals), alongside the British University, Ain Shams University, and Cairo University.
The qualifying team consists of the students Asal Al-Jarjawi, Abdullah Sorour, Layan Foudeh, and Sulaf Al-Asaad. This achievement was further strengthened by Asal Al-Jarjawi winning the award for Second Best Oralist in the competition, highlighting the strong academic and professional preparation of the Faculty of Law students and their ability to plead and conduct legal analysis in accordance with the highest international standards.
This success was also crowned by the students receiving an opportunity for “training leading to employment” with Columbia University, awarded to members of the qualifying teams, opening international professional horizons and enhancing their practical experience at one of the world’s leading academic institutions.
