The youth team has put itself in a comfortable position after two valuable wins, 2–1 over Bahrain and 1–0 over Afghanistan in the first two rounds, topping Group 4 with a perfect record of 6 points, ahead of Tajikistan and Bahrain (3 points each).
Jordan needs only a win or a draw against Tajikistan to guarantee official qualification, amid a strong desire from the coaching staff and players to finish the qualifiers in the best possible way and confirm their right to advance to the continental finals (China 2027).
On the other hand, a loss to Tajikistan would not mean the end of the road, but it would push the team into calculating its qualification chances and waiting on the results of the other group matches, with its chances still strong given its good record and results in the past two rounds, since the top team in each of the eight qualifying groups advances, along with the best seven second-placed teams.
