Iraq's national team snatched a thrilling 3-2 win over its Kuwaiti counterpart, on Saturday, in the second round of Group One at the Gulf Cup "Khaleeji 27," at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

Iraq opened the scoring in the 52nd minute through Zaidan Iqbal, before Yousef Nasser equalized for Kuwait from a penalty in the 75th minute.
Saif Rashid restored the lead for the Iraqi national team, scoring the second goal in the 83rd minute, but Yousef Nasser struck again in the 90th minute, scoring his second personal goal to give Kuwait the equalizer, before Kuwait played with ten men after Abdulwahab Al-Awadhi received his second yellow card in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
Just as the match looked headed for a draw, Karrar Nabil scored a killer goal for Iraq in the ninth minute of stoppage time, with a powerful shot from outside the box, securing the win for his national team.
Iraq raised its tally to four points, moving temporarily to the top of Group One, one point ahead of Saudi Arabia, which has played one fewer match, while Oman sits third with one point, and Kuwait remains in last place without any points, after losing its first two matches.
