In her latest appearance, she accompanied her husband, Prince William, to a state banquet held at Windsor Castle in honour of Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. For the occasion, she wore a yellow gown by internationally renowned Lebanese designer Elie Saab, pairing it with royal jewellery and a tiara previously worn by Princess Diana.
Details of Kate Middleton’s look at the Windsor banquet
Kate Middleton dazzled in a yellow gown from Elie Saab’s Spring/Summer 2025 ready-to-wear collection, featuring a silhouette that flowed lightly from beneath the bust. Fine pleats were spread across the fabric, giving the skirt soft movement, while a long cape trailing behind her added a dramatic touch to the design.

The raised waistline emphasised the gown’s length and fluid silhouette, while the lightweight fabric lent a subtle transparency to the skirt’s outer layer. The cape maintained the design’s lightness, draping around her arms and extending behind the gown without concealing its pleats.

The round neckline featured braided detailing and a small opening at the chest. These touches gave the upper part of the gown its distinctive character, while the skirt remained simpler, relying on the pleats and movement of the fabric. The absence of a necklace left the neckline, earrings and tiara clearly visible.

The Princess of Wales completed her look with Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara, featuring diamond-encrusted arches and dangling pearls. The tiara originally belonged to Queen Mary before being inherited by her granddaughter, Queen Elizabeth II, who later lent it to Princess Diana. Diana wore it on numerous occasions, and it subsequently became a recurring feature of Kate Middleton’s formal appearances.

The Princess of Wales completed her look with dangling diamond earrings, a bracelet from the late Queen Elizabeth II’s jewellery collection and a sparkling clutch bag. These pieces added a touch of brilliance that complemented the gown’s yellow hue.

Royal sashes and insignia also adorned the ensemble, including the sash and star of the Royal Victorian Order and the insignia of the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, completing her look for the banquet.
