Hundreds of people protested in Milan, on Saturday, against the use of fur alongside Fashion Week shows, according to Agence France-Presse.
Protesters carried signs reading "Fashion victims" and "Their lives are worth more than your clothes," calling on Milan Fashion Week organizers to ban the use of fur.

While London and New York Fashion Weeks have banned the use of fur in their runway shows, Milan has limited itself to asking brands to avoid using it.
The "Fur Free Alliance" called on the event's organizers to fully ban the material from the shows.
Major fashion houses such as Armani, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana have stopped using fur.
There are exceptions in Italy in this regard, however, such as Fendi, part of the French LVMH group.
Activists regularly organize protests during Milan's four annual Fashion Week events, criticizing the harsh practices used in breeding animals for their fur and the poor conditions in which these animals are often kept.
The use of fur in the global fashion industry has seen a sharp decline in recent years, as a result of growing interest in animal rights, changing consumer habits, and the emergence of synthetic alternatives.
