The Companies Controller General, Dr. Wael Al-Armouti, said that company registration procedures in Jordan take less than one hour, in line with the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision to improve the business start-up environment.

Speaking during his appearance at the Government Communication Forum on Tuesday, Al-Armouti explained that company registration and activation of the electronic account are completed in a single step, noting that all types of companies can be registered electronically, including foreign companies and private shareholding companies.
He added that more than 100,000 company information records have been issued around the clock without any human intervention.
Al-Armouti pointed out that there has been a significant improvement in corporate compliance with governance standards, with more than 89% of companies updating their financial data, alongside the continued implementation of auditing and oversight plans.
He also noted that 85% of companies in Jordan are family-owned businesses.
