According to Channel 7, Smotrich stated that he "does not care about the number of enemy fatalities" as much as he focuses on achieving field gains by expanding territorial control, considering this the most critical factor in the conflict.
Disagreements and Strategic Vision
Commenting on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Smotrich noted the existence of sharp disagreements between them. He added that, in his view, the war must end with changes to Israel's borders, whether in Gaza, Lebanon, or Syria, in addition to the West Bank.
Military Objectives
Smotrich expressed his belief that the Israeli military should have seized wider areas in Lebanon. He argued that adversaries do not focus on the number of strikes or human casualties, but rather on the issue of losing land.
