In a military statement, the army said: “Air defense is not hermetic; therefore, residents must continue to comply with the instructions of the Home Front Command.”
Earlier, the army announced that it was working to intercept missiles launched from Iran.
Since Saturday morning, Israel has been subjected to continuous Iranian missile and drone attacks in response to the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes targeting Iran.
At dawn on Sunday, Iran launched a new missile attack targeting the city of Haifa and northern towns, while sirens sounded in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and central areas, accompanied by explosions resulting from interception attempts in the air.
The Israeli army also confirmed that air defense systems were deployed to intercept missiles fired from Iran toward Israeli territory amid the ongoing military escalation between the two sides.
The military stated that interception operations took place across several areas, with warning sirens activated and residents urged to follow Home Front Command instructions, while acknowledging gaps in its air defense system.
