As the war on Iran enters its third week, joint U.S.-Israeli bombardment of Iranian cities continued on Monday. Israeli and American fighters launched a new series of strikes on dozens of locations across the Iranian capital, Tehran, and Alborz (Karaj) Province. In response, Iran intensified missile launches toward Israel and neighboring countries.

Field Developments: Strikes on Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz
The Israeli occupation army announced a "wide-scale series of strikes" targeting Iranian government infrastructure. Reports indicated that explosions shook Tehran hours after Israel declared a massive overnight aerial campaign. Air defense systems were activated across the capital, with local media reporting strikes on the Jamaran district in northern Tehran and the Bagheri Highway.
In Israel, sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and central regions. The Israeli army radio reported shrapnel falling in several locations across Tel Aviv, while the Home Front Command confirmed missile launches from Iran targeting the southern coast.
Strategic Targets and Losses
Aviation: The Israeli army claimed to have destroyed an aircraft used by Supreme Leader Khamenei at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran.
U.S. Assets: The Iranian military declared that "support centers for the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford in the Red Sea" are now active targets.
Military Bases: Strikes targeted key installations, including the 4th Air Base in Dezful, the 9th Air Base in Bandar Abbas, and the 2nd Naval Base in Bandar Jask, as well as IRGC and Basij headquarters in Hamadan.
Energy and Industry: Bombardment hit fuel facilities in Tehran and the Tehranser area, which houses a drone manufacturing plant.
Trump’s Stance: Redefining Regional Responsibility
President Donald Trump asserted that the frequency of Iranian missile launches is decreasing due to the efficacy of U.S. strikes. Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20% of global energy passes, Trump reiterated that the U.S. is not reliant on the waterway.
"I am calling on these countries [those dependent on Gulf oil] to step in and protect their own territory... It is where they get their energy," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. He warned European allies that NATO faces a "very bad" future if members do not assist Washington in securing the strait.
Diplomatic and Military Outlook
The Israeli Channel 12 reported that the security establishment has approved a war plan lasting at least three more weeks. Meanwhile, EU foreign ministers are meeting in Brussels today to discuss potentially strengthening their naval mission in the Middle East, though a decision on expanding its role to the now-closed Strait of Hormuz is not yet expected.
