5,424 Students Killed, 9,193 injured since Oct. 7 - Palestinian Ministry

GAZA — The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education has reported that 5,424 Palestinian students have been killed, and 9,193 have been injured since October 7, 2023. اضافة اعلان

The Ministry clarified in a statement on Tuesday that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression reached approximately 5,379, and those who were injured to 8,888, while 48 students were killed in the West Bank and 305 others were injured, in addition to the arrest of 97, Al-Ghad reported.

It also mentioned that 255 teachers and administrators were killed, and 891 were injured in the Gaza Strip, while more than 73 were arrested in the West Bank.

The Ministry pointed out that 286 government schools and 65 UNRWA schools were subjected to bombing and sabotage in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in 111 of them being severely damaged, and 40 being completely destroyed. In addition, 57 schools in the West Bank were subjected to invasion and sabotage, and 133 government schools were used as shelters in the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry confirmed that 620,000 students in the Gaza Strip are still deprived of attending their schools since the beginning of the aggression, while most of the students suffer from psychological shocks, and face difficult health conditions.
