The convoy, composed of hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists, entered the Libyan capital Tripoli on Wednesday morning as part of its mission to reach Gaza through Egypt.

Crowds of Libyan citizens gathered to welcome the convoy, waving banners demanding an end to the Israeli blockade on Gaza.

Organizers say the convoy, which began its journey in Tunisia, aims to break the long-standing Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.

The convoy is expected to continue eastward from Tripoli to the city of Misrata, and then toward eastern Libya, heading to the Egyptian border through the Emsaad border crossing.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding foreign delegations seeking to visit the Egyptian-Gaza border region.

The statement emphasized that “any such visits require prior official approval,” referring to increased inquiries about access to areas near Gaza, such as Rafah and El Arish.

The unfolding situation underscores the complexity of regional dynamics as international solidarity efforts confront both political and military barriers.
