Turkish actor Serhat Kılıç, one of the most prominent faces in Turkish drama, was found dead on Saturday evening at the age of 51 inside his home in the Kağıthane district of Istanbul.

Regarding the circumstances of his death, Turkish media outlets reported that Serhat Kılıç had been out of contact with those around him for about two days, prompting his girlfriend to go to his home, especially since she had a key to it.
Upon entering, she was shocked to find him sitting motionless on a sofa in the living room, and quickly notified the police, who arrived at the scene and began their investigation into the circumstances of his death.
Initial investigations revealed no indication of criminal involvement after examining the body, which showed no stab wounds or injuries suggesting Serhat Kılıç had been assaulted, though bruising was noted around the eyes and on the arms and legs.
Serhat Kılıç's body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Istanbul for an autopsy to conclusively determine the cause of death, as official investigations continue and no final result has been issued so far.
Turkish media quoted a friend of Kılıç's as saying he had been suffering from lymphoma (lymphatic cancer), opening the door to multiple possibilities regarding the cause of his death.
However, the final cause has not yet been determined, pending the forensic report, which has not yet been officially released.
Serhat Kılıç became well known among Arab audiences through his role in the series "Kuruluş Osman," in which he portrayed the character Mikhail Kosses.
