The Technical Committee for the Amman International Book Fair 2026 announced that it has completed all organizational and technical arrangements for the fair's upcoming edition, which marks a pivotal milestone in its history as it celebrates its Silver Jubilee (25th edition).

According to a statement issued Monday by the Jordanian Publishers Association, the Association's Vice President and Chairman of the Fair's Technical Committee, Walid Sabbah, confirmed that the committee began its work as soon as registration closed, having received all participation applications submitted by local, Arab, and international publishing houses, and having developed a comprehensive work plan for direct oversight of the various operational and logistical arrangements.
The statement stressed that the Silver Jubilee edition, taking place from September 24 to November 3 at the Jordan International Exhibitions Center – Mecca Mall in Amman, will be a distinguished edition supportive of both local and Arab publishers alike, despite the significant turnout and notable increase in participation requests this year compared to the limited space available at the venue.
The Technical Committee chairman explained that the technical and organizational standards were carefully established to ensure a fair and balanced distribution of space, giving publishing houses equal opportunities to display their publications and new releases, in a way that serves the publishing industry and enhances the presence of books at this prominent cultural event.
The statement noted that the organizational arrangements included approving the general floor plan for the halls to ensure smooth visitor flow and avoid overcrowding, alongside direct technical coordination with relevant authorities to ensure books are cleared and received according to specified schedules.
The statement concluded by noting the adoption of a precise work agenda to follow up on all field preparations step by step, ensuring preparations proceed according to the specified timeline, leading to the organization of an exceptional edition worthy of the Silver Jubilee and reflecting the prestigious cultural standing the Amman International Book Fair has achieved throughout its extensive history.
In addition to its chairman Walid Sabbah, the committee includes: Muflih Al-Jarrah, Mohammad Sobhi, Osama Abu Haltam, and Najeeb Al-Abbas.
