Seminar held on media literacy

AMMAN — The Jerash Directorate of Culture held a symposium entitled "Reliable News Sources" on Monday afternoon at Jerash Youth Center.اضافة اعلان

The Jerash director of culture, Aqla Al-Qadri, said that the purpose of the symposium was to give the youth group the knowledge to discern reliable news sources and spot misinformation and rumors, according to Al-Ghad.

Rafad Al-Ayasra, from Al-Dustour newspaper, explained the importance of adopting news that is issued by approved websites, official newspapers, and news websites affiliated with ministries and other government departments.

Sabreen Al-Taimat, from Al-Ghad newspaper, also spoke about social media’s impact on media and the importance of relying on credentialed sources.
