Irbid – Public and official entities in the city of Irbid continued their joyful celebrations of the 79th Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.اضافة اعلان

Participants emphasized that the journey of dedication and progress continues, with a collective commitment to achieving greater development and accomplishments across all sectors.

The celebrations, held for the second day at Al-Hassan Sports City, witnessed enthusiastic expressions of pride and joy from citizens, who reflected on the progress Jordan has made since gaining independence.

Festive parades filled the streets of Irbid, with marchers waving Jordanian flags and carrying images of His Majesty King Abdullah II. These processions converged at Al-Hassan Sports City, echoing with patriotic songs and national chants.

Governor of Irbid, Radwan Al-Atoum, described Independence Day as a shining milestone that inspires the nation to face challenges and transform them into opportunities for development. He urged citizens to preserve the achievements of independence and build upon them.

He highlighted the numerous royal initiatives and development projects Irbid has benefited from over the years, noting the presence of hundreds of schools, multiple universities, colleges, cultural centers, hospitals, health centers, and extensive networks of potable water, electricity, and well-structured roads.

The celebration saw participation from government departments, civil society organizations, associations, clubs, youth centers, as well as representatives from various public, economic, union, and women’s sectors, along with tribal leaders and community dignitaries.

Activities on the second day included musical performances, patriotic songs, fireworks displays, theatrical shows, children’s games, and folkloric presentations.

The events also featured a three-day charity bazaar organized by local associations and productive families, providing them with a direct platform to market their handmade goods and crafts.
