German Jordanian University opens Arabic, culture program

AMMAN — The German Jordanian University has inaugurated an Arabic language and culture program for German students from representing several partner universities in Germany.اضافة اعلان

During the opening, the director of the German Authority for Cultural and Scientific Exchange in Amman, Benjamin Schmaling, called on students learn about Jordan through language and culture, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

During the ceremony, several speeches were delivered emphasizing the importance of the program and its role in cultural exchange. The program coordinator Zilal Owais, said that the program began in cooperation with the German Authority for Cultural Exchange in 2014 and has so far received about 300 students.

It is noteworthy that 14 male and female students have participated in the program this year at the intermediate level of Arabic. They studied the colloquial dialect in the first two weeks, then moved on to the Standard Arabic program, which continues until the end of the first semester.
