Mohammad Al-Wakeed, Director General of the Development Zones, confirmed that the maintenance was part of the preventive measures regularly adopted by the administration to ensure the highest standards of safety and security for visitors and users of this vital tourist attraction, which is considered one of the most prominent landmarks in northern Jordan and the first of its kind in the country.

Al-Wakeed added that the scheduled maintenance will continue as planned during the period April 21–23, 2025, which marks the final phase of the maintenance program for this season. He pointed out that the administration chose to implement the work in phases to ensure the site remained open to visitors throughout most of the tourism season.

The Ajloun Cable Car, which connects the Sowan area with a number of stunning natural landmarks across the Ajloun highlands, is once again welcoming visitors, offering them the opportunity to enjoy unique panoramic views of the forests and meadows—especially during this perfect spring weather.

The administration also invited the public to join in the celebration of Flag Day, which had been postponed due to the temporary closure. Special festive activities will now be held in the vicinity of the cable car to commemorate this national symbol that unites Jordanians.
