The course stemmed from Zain’s aim to qualify and train the youth to enter the labor market, especially in the fields that are witnessing an increase in demand.

Zain is highly interested in holding initiatives and programs targeting youth, to provide them with sustainable jobs in vital sectors and qualify them with the needed skills and competencies to start their professional journey in the market, hence Zain noticed the increasing demand for fiber service and decided to hold these courses to give youth the advantage of being competitive regarding knowledge and experience in fiber maintenance.

Zain inaugurated the Fiber Center last year and fully equipped it with the latest in equipment and devices, including inspection and maintenance tools, with high specifications, in addition to providing the center with all the main requirements necessary to ensure excellent training. Trainees are being educated and trained by experts and specialists in the field of fiber-optic technology

The courses include 150 hours of training between practice and theory, during which trainees will acquire the theoretical, practical, and performance know-how required to qualify them to work in the telecommunications sector and with companies working in the field of fiber-optic networks. The training includes connecting fiber to customer’s home, tracking faults and any cuts or malfunctions that may occur in a fiber network.
