According to Bloomberg, the law establishes a preliminary regulatory framework aimed at consumer protection and setting clear rules for stablecoin transactions. The legislation received bipartisan support in both the House and Senate, aligning with the administration’s ambition to position the U.S. as the global capital of cryptocurrency.

Additionally, the U.S. House of Representatives passed two more bills on Friday to bolster the legitimacy of the digital asset market. One of them proposes a new market structure for crypto trading, while the other prohibits the Federal Reserve from issuing any central bank digital currency (CBDC). These bills are expected to move to the Senate in the coming days for further legislative action.
