Jordanian exports to US skyrocketed by 22% in January

AMMAN — Jordan's Department of Statistics has reported an increase in exports to the US in January this year, with a rise of 22.1 percent compared to the same period in 2022, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. اضافة اعلان

The foreign trade data indicated that the total value of Jordan's exports to the US reached JD118 million, as opposed to JD96 million last year.

Imports from the US to Jordan also increased significantly by 38.2 percent to reach about JD150 million in January 2023, compared to JD109 million during the same period in 2022.

Trade volume surges by JD63 millionThe statistics revealed that the total volume of trade between Jordan and the US increased by JD63 million, reaching JD268 million in January 2023 compared to JD205 million in January 2022.

However, Jordan's trade balance deficit with the US rose by JD19 million in January 2023, reaching JD32 million, compared to JD13 million in January 2022.
