The value of commercial exports (re-exports) from the city of Zarqa reached approximately 31.8 million dinars during the past month of May, according to data from certificates of origin issued by the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce and its office in the Free Zone. This indicator reflects the city's sustained commercial and export activity, despite a recorded decline compared to previous months.

Hussein Shreim, Chairman of the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce, stated that the city's commercial exports during May amounted to 31.776 million dinars, distributed across 235 certificates of origin issued by the Chamber and its Zarqa Free Zone office.
Shreim explained that the vehicles and auto parts sector accounted for the largest share of Zarqa’s commercial exports during this period. This was alongside a wide range of commodities, including construction materials, sanitary ware, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, food products, apparel, jewelry, electrical and electronic appliances, as well as home and office furniture, and stationery.
Shreim emphasized that these indicators reflect the robust trade flow experienced by the city of Zarqa, highlighting its position as one of the Kingdom's vital commercial and logistical hubs and its key role in supporting economic activity and the flow of goods to regional and international markets. — Petra
