Oil prices rose slightly on Thursday following their steepest monthly drop since 2021, amid signs that the OPEC+ alliance may be entering an extended phase of production increases.

Brent crude futures rose by 16 cents, or 0.3%, to $61.22 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures edged up by 6 cents, or 0.1%, to $58.27 per barrel, after falling 3.7% on Wednesday, according to Bloomberg.
Both benchmarks closed on Wednesday at their lowest levels in nearly four years.
