Municipalities to receive 90m-euro loan for solar projects

AMMAN — The Ministry of Local Administration will help municipalities lower their energy bills by financing the construction of solar projects, Minister Tawfiq Krishan said Tuesday, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

Speaking at a dialogue session held at the Zarqa Cultural Center, he said the projects will be implemented through a 90-million-euro loan from the European Investment Bank and the Cities and Villages Development Bank.

Municipalities’ energy bills make up 25 percent of their budget, the Local Administration Ministry has previously said.
