Jordan’s Local Revenues Reach JD 3.3 Billion in the First Four Months of 2026
Jordan’s local revenues reached approximately JD 3.308 billion by the end of April 2026, compared with JD 3.307 billion during the same period in 2025, maintaining last year’s revenue levels despite the security challenges affecting the region.

According to the Ministry of Finance, financial data for the first four months of 2026 indicate that tax revenues amounted to approximately JD 2.456 billion. This included JD 930 million in income tax revenues and around JD 1.399 billion collected from the General Sales Tax (GST).

Customs revenues and real estate sales tax collections reached approximately JD 91.5 million and JD 35 million, respectively. Meanwhile, non-tax revenues totaled JD 852 million during the same period.

Grants received by the Kingdom during the first third of the year amounted to approximately JD 96 million, compared with JD 21.6 million during the corresponding period in 2025. As a result, total public revenues, including grants, reached approximately JD 3.404 billion, up from JD 3.329 billion in the same period last year.

The Ministry noted that these revenue figures reflect the stability of the tax base and the efficiency of revenue collection despite the regional circumstances.

On the expenditure side, total government spending reached approximately JD 4.090 billion by the end of April 2026. Current expenditures accounted for JD 3.7545 billion, while capital expenditures totaled JD 336 million.

Capital spending increased by 2 percent during the first four months of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025, reflecting the government’s continued commitment to funding capital projects due to their positive impact on economic activity and job creation.
