IAF calls for fuel price reductions

AMMAN — The Islamic Action Front (IAF) party urged the government to reduce fuel prices after global oil prices dropped by up to 20 percent since the middle of last month, Amman Net reported.اضافة اعلان

IAF said the current prices of oil derivatives reached an unimaginable record level never seen in the past.

“IAF renews its call on the government to reveal the real mechanism for pricing oil derivatives and the size of tax imposed on it, which is creating a huge burden affecting citizens,” said the group, Jordan’s most-organized opposition party.

Reducing fuel prices due to the drop in global prices will contribute to alleviating the burdens on citizens, increasing liquidity in the local market and supporting growth in the productive, commercial and service sectors, IAF said.
