Digital payments in Jordan through the "JoMoPay" instant digital payment system have reached 899.7 million Jordanian Dinars, with 12.29 million transactions recorded from the start of the year until the end of February.اضافة اعلان

According to a report by the Jordanian Payment and Clearing Systems Company (JoPAC), the value of transfers sent from e-wallets decreased by 8%, recording 431 million Dinars in February, compared to 469 million Dinars in January.

Money transfers account for 89.4% of transactions sent from e-wallets, with a total value of 385.2 million Dinars last month. This compares to 5.5% for withdrawals, 4% for deposits, and 1.1% for purchases.

The number of e-wallet users in Jordan increased by 1.2%, reaching 2.58 million users, of whom 88.1% are Jordanians and 11.9% are non-Jordanians.

The data indicates that 50.3% of e-wallet users are female, and 49.2% are male, with the age group of 18 to 30 years forming the majority of e-wallet users.

JoMoPay is an electronic system that enables mobile payment services through e-wallets, where electronic wallets are registered on the system to facilitate the exchange of financial transactions between e-wallets, including transfers to and from bank accounts.
