Water ministry denies rumors of tariff hike, explains monthly bill delay

AMMAN — The spokesperson for Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Omar Salameh, denied reports of a water tariff increase through the redistribution of payment tiers, stating that all rumors regarding the issue are false and that water prices remain unchanged.اضافة اعلان

According to Jo24, Salameh said that water bills are calculated based on consumption, divided monthly instead of quarterly. He also emphasized that there will be no tariff hikes even if the payment tiers are canceled and redistributed.

He explained that monthly water bill issuance is still in progress, and it will take at least a month to implement, adding that the delay is due to technical issues.
