The ministry has studied presentations from five companies regarding the project.

Under BOT systems, a company is responsible for construction and operation of a project, which is then transferred to the government after 25 years.

The National Water Conveyance Project, which is supposed to be implemented in 2023, will provide around 300 million cubic meters of water and aims to contribute to supporting agriculture, halting well drilling, and countering the effects of climate change.

The National Water Conveyance Project aims to replace the failed Red Sea -Dead Sea Water Conveyance Project, which was a joint project planned among Jordan, the Palestinian Authority, and Israel.
