AMMAN — The star of Suhail appeared at dawn on Wednesday, August 23, a sign that summer is almost at an end and that September rains are to be expected soon, Jordanian astronomer Imad Mujahid told the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

He indicated that the yellowish-white Suhail normally appears on August 23rd of every year and was considered a sign of the changing of seasons before modern-day astronomical calculations were invented.

The blazing heat of the summer is expected to gradually ease, setting the scene for lovely outdoor weather at night-time, while the imminent September rains, which may cause torrential rains in different regions of the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant, will be mostly beneficial for the lands and surface waters.
