Police arrest Ajloun's ‘most wanted’, nab five drug dealers in Ramtha

AMMAN — A security taskforce on Monday apprehended a man considered to be Ajloun's “most wanted” on suspicion of drug-related cases and firing at police officers, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The Public Security Directorate’s (PSD) spokesperson said that a joint investigative team had been gathering information on the "armed and dangerous" suspect. After tracking him to a vehicle on highway leading to Ajloun Governorate, police officers arrested the individual and seized a firearm in during the bust.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) apprehended five drug dealers during a security campaign in Ramtha. The PSD’s spokesperson said that the AND personnel had collected information and tracked down a number of suspected drug traffickers, after complaints came in from members of the local community.

Upon locating the suspects, police officers carried out raids that led to the arrest of five alleged drug dealers, three alleged drug users, and four wanted individuals.
