The Parliamentary Finance Committee continued on Saturday its discussions of the General Budget Bill for the 2026 fiscal year.
The committee is scheduled to review the budgets of the Ministry of Local Administration, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and its affiliated companies, as well as the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority.

The committee will also discuss the budget bill with the government’s economic team.
Earlier, the committee’s chairman, Nimir Al-Salihat, stated that discussions of the 2026 General Budget Bill with ministries, institutions, and government units will conclude on Sunday, December 7.
He added that the committee will submit its recommendations on the budget under the Dome on Monday, December 8, to open the floor for parliamentary debate.
Al-Salihat expected that parliamentary discussions and voting on the budget would be completed on Thursday, December 11.
