PSD chief, AIMC director talk pan-Arab security cooperation

AMMAN — Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD), Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, on Thursday, discussed with Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers' Council (AIMC), Mohammed Koman, ways of cooperation and coordination between the Arab countries' police apparatuses, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

Hawatmeh stressed the importance of cooperation among Arab security services to develop law enforcement mechanisms and upgrade the services provided to citizens by exchanging expertise and keeping pace with best practices.

Hawatmeh also voiced PSD's keenness to enhance cooperation at the pan-Arab level to serve Arab countries' peoples, raise the capabilities of their security institutions and enhance their potential to combat crime.

For his part, Koman lauded PSD's level as an "advanced" model to provide security and police services "efficiently and professionally."

In addition, Koman valued the PSD's supportive role in maintaining cooperation channels and coordinating pan-Arab security strategies and joint action to enhance Arab countries' security.
