AMMAN — The National Electric Power Company’s (NEPCO) chairman of the
Board of Directors Omar Kurdi, and director-general Amjad Rawashdeh conducted a
field visit to check on Sunday the company’s northern power stations.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the stations generate electricity
for four governorates with a load of 800 megawatts, accounting for 30 percent
of the Kingdom's load.
The two officials stressed the importance of maintaining the state of
excellence in the company's various sites and urged enhancements to prepare for
winter and for the company to adopt preventive measures to deal with electric
failures that occur every winter season.
Talks during the visit also tackled NEPCO’s important role in serving the
national economy by providing construction, planning, development, operation,
maintenance and management of the control systems, the electric transmission
and interconnection networks in Jordan.
