AMMAN — As part of the efforts to strengthen partnerships with
accredited entities for cooperation in the field of applying alternative
non-custodial penalties, the representative of the
Minister of Justice (MoJ),
Judge Dr. Saad Al-Louzi, and the representative of the Chairman of the Board of
Directors of the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, Mr. Fadi Nasser,
signed on Monday, 24th July 2023, a memorandum of understanding to oversee the
implementation of alternative non-custodial penalties.

The Secretary-General of the
Ministry of Justice for
Judicial Affairs, Judge Dr. Saad Al-Louzi, stated that this memorandum
represents an expansion in providing entities that implement community service,
in addition to rehabilitation programs. The Royal Society for the Conservation
of Nature has provided a number of works and places that will be included under
the category of community service, along with providing other rehabilitation
programs and places as an alternative.
