The decision stipulated that residents’ working hours in the program should be no less than 45 hours per week, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry indicated that this decision was made taking into account the conditions of doctors enrolled in the residency program, whose monthly remuneration did not exceed JD220.

The ministry added that the increase in their compensation would enable them to devote themselves to fulfilling the requirements of the residency program, raising their capabilities and improving the level of service provided to patients.
