AMMAN — The
Greater Amman Municipality confirmed that
licenses for professions related to providing
vehicle valet parking services
are suspended for the majority of valet companies, with the exception of places
such as hospitals, malls, hotels, and tourist restaurants.

A total of 134 licenses for companies offering parking
services have been issued or renewed up until now.
The Municipality clarified that a committee for
vehicle valet parking has been formed in accordance with Regulation No. 28 of 2017 for
Vehicle Parking Services. This committee aims to rework these regulations and
find solutions to the traffic and security problems caused by
valet parking,
Roya News reported.
This committee includes representatives from the capital
governorate, the general security department, and the
Municipality of Amman, as
a preliminary step to granting the required permits for valet parking services.
