Jordanian expat remittances stable, June surges by 5.9%

AMMAN — Jordanian expatriates transferred $1.683 billion in remittances during the first half of 2023, closely resembling the $1.689 billion sent during the same period in 2022, as per preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan.اضافة اعلان

Although the annual total remained stable, there was a significant surge in remittance activity in June, registering a growth of 5.9 percent and reaching $284.1 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported. This performance outpaced the remittances of the same month in the preceding year.
