Jordan records 10 new COVID-19 deaths

AMMAN  — Jordan recorded 1,790 new COVID-19 cases and 10 new deaths Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 11,062 and the total number of cases to 866,451. اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 653 cases, while Zarqa recorded 138 cases. Irbid registered 416 cases, Balqa 112 cases, Karak recorded 55 cases, Jerash recorded 49 cases, and Tafileh recorded 24 cases. Madaba registered 68 cases, Aqaba 52, and Ajloun 66.

The ministry said in a statement that 92 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 90 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 21,650 according to the ministry. Out of 35,149 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 5.09 percent of them came back positive.
