COVID-19 crosses the 2,000 cases psychological threshold

AMMAN  — Jordan recorded 2,120 new COVID-19 cases and 14 new deaths Monday, bringing the total death toll to 11,052 and the total number of cases to 864,661.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 785 cases, while Zarqa recorded 186 cases. Irbid registered 490 cases, Balqa 99 cases, Karak recorded 46 cases, Jerash recorded 77 cases, and Tafileh recorded 21 cases. Madaba registered 78 cases, Aqaba 88, and Ajloun 88.

The ministry said in a statement that 60 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 93 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 21,457 according to the ministry. Out of 38,127 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 5.56 percent of them came back positive.
