JPA elections postponed till next Friday

AMMAN — According to Al-Ghad News, the Jordan Press Association (JPA) council elections were postponed until next Friday, acting president of JPA Yanal Barmawi announced.اضافة اعلان

Barmawi contended that the elections were postponed due to the absence of a quorum. He also pointed out that those who registered in today’s meeting were about 416 out of 1,142 of those eligible to vote.

Barmawi shared that the JPA’s bylaw requires half plus one of the members to be present to achieve a quorum and begin the ballot process.
