Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hussan affirmed, during his meeting on Sunday morning with Dr. Muhannad Hijazi, Chairman of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, the government’s support for the Commission’s measures to seriously address any violations that hinder investment.

The Prime Minister emphasized that any investor facing violations or obstacles to their investments can rely on the integrity, oversight, and fair judicial institutions for protection. He added that he will personally follow up on this matter to ensure justice is served and that any proven wrongdoing is held accountable within the framework of the law and fair and impartial judiciary.
He directed the concerned ministers to fully cooperate with the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission on any matters related to investors, stressing that the duty of institutions and officials is to provide a supportive environment for investment and facilitate investors.
The Prime Minister noted that just as no official or entity is allowed to obstruct investments, no investor will be permitted to pressure decision-makers to achieve interests outside the scope of laws and regulations. He emphasized that “there will be no leniency in enforcing the law against anyone who abuses authority or violates the law to hinder or obstruct investments.”
For his part, the Chairman of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission stressed that the Commission gives utmost importance to all investment-related cases to ensure integrity, justice, and protection of investors’ rights, while preventing violations against them.
He also confirmed that the Commission’s doors are open to receive complaints, noting that a dedicated channel exists to follow up on all matters related to investment and investors, with all complaints handled seriously and within the legal framework.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh.
