AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah hosted a banquet on
Wednesday ahead of the Royal wedding with 4,000 guests in attendance from
around the Kingdom and the world.

During the banquet, His Majesty was accompanied by HRH
Prince El Hassan bin Talal and other members of the Royal family.
His Majesty delivered a heartfelt speech during the banquet
and presented HRH Crown Prince Hussein with the ‘Sword of Justice and Defense,’
a meticulously crafted sword obtained from encircling Ajloun Castle, and a
replica of the blade once wielded by His Majesty, the late King Hussein.
During the banquet, several performances were displayed
honoring the Royal wedding from Royal Airforce Planes, the Silent Infantry
Team, Special Royal Guard Command, and many Jordanian artists, folkloric music,
and dances.
In line with local customs, His Majesty served the Kingdom’s
national dish, Mansaf, which has been inscribed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural
Heritage of Humanity List.
