AMMAN — On Friday, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing
announced that it will put into effect a medium-range emergency plan as of
Friday evening due to the foreseen weather instability expected to impact the
Kingdom, according to Al-Ghad News.
The ministry announced in a press statement its readiness to deal
with the expected weather conditions and to tackle any complaints 24/7 and
through 98 teams.
The ministry issued a circular to all its offices and departments
across the Kingdom to conduct regular check visits to all areas and to increase
the emergency situation in accordance with the information received by the
departments, offices, and the meteorological department.
The ministry also called on people to be careful and to stay away
from the flood formations and valleys, and to drive safely on external roads;
especially in the Badiah where there is a possibility of dust formation.
Also, the ministry urged people to not hesitate in reporting any
emergencies to the relevant departments.
