Preliminary data released by the Central Bank of Jordan on Thursday showed that tourism income continued to recover, rising by 17.2% in August 2026 compared with the same month last year, reaching $1.1394 billion.

As a result, tourism income during the first eight months of 2026 increased by 2.9%, reaching $5.5576 billion.
The data showed that tourism income from Arab visitors increased by 16.3%, while income from Asian nationalities rose by 9.5%.
Meanwhile, tourism income from Jordanians living abroad declined by 5.9%, while income from U.S. visitors fell by 17.1%, European visitors by 23.7%, and visitors of other nationalities by 39.9% during the first eight months of 2026.
