According to another media outlet, safety committees formed by the Greater Amman Municipality’s construction department have issued 2,030 demolish and removal orders in 2022.

The orders were given because of increased construction and ventilation violations within the municipality.

Municipality Spokesperson Naser Al-Rahamneh said that 404 public safety committees have been established by the department since the beginning of the year, and 16 partial or total evictions have been enforced.

During the current calendar year, 1,948 building violations have been reported within the municipality.
