In the last few hours, Civil Defense teams rescued 17 people, including two individuals in Madaba Governorate and 15 others in Karak Governorate.

This occurred during the period of unstable weather, which brought rain that resulted in the formation of floods in various regions of the kingdom.
In detail, the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate explained that the specialized teams from the Karak Civil Defense Directorate managed to rescue 15 people who were trapped by rainwater in the Al-Harbiya area in Karak. The floodwaters had trapped them inside their vehicles, and the rescue teams worked to clear the road with a loader and moved them to a safe area where they were in good health.
He added that Madaba Civil Defense teams managed to rescue two individuals who were trapped by the rainwater while walking near one of the flood channels in the Al-Shumout area in Madaba Governorate.
He continued, stating that the rescue teams walked for 2 kilometers to reach the trapped individuals and worked to pull them out and secure them. They were in good health and did not require hospital transportation.
The Public Security Directorate urges citizens to stay away from valleys and areas prone to flooding and not to take risks by crossing roads, either on foot or by vehicle, during heavy rainfall. It also advises residents of mobile homes and tents to move to higher and safer areas.
